Vent Silencer-ونت سایلنسر
Hits : 3417 |
Silencers are used to reduce noise associated with internal combustion engine exhausts, high pressure gas or steam vents, compressors and fans. They attenuate and/or absorb air-born sound waves propagated in a flowing medium. These examples lead to the conclusion that a silencer allows the passage of fluid while at the same time restricting the free passage of sound. They are normally custom-designed equipment.
Vent Silencers
Equipment
The main characteristics of the noise are the pressure level, which is measured by dB, and frequency, which is measured by Hz. Human being can hear in the range of 20-20000 Hz, while noise pressure levels more than 70 dB would hurt.
KARA TAHVIEH SILENCERS are used to reduce noise;
- From a gas/steam pipeline discharging directly into the atmosphere through a safety relief valve or a control valve
- From a gas/steam passing through pipeline
This noise is generally as a result of high turbulence inside the valve during pressure reduction
KARA JET Silencer are used to reduce noise;
- From a gas/steam pipeline discharging directly into the atmosphere through a safety relief valve or a control valve
- From a gas/steam passing through pipeline
This noise is generally as a result of high turbulence inside the valve during pressure reduction
They use both sound absorbing material and diffuser to reduce the noise. Usually mounted on relief devices such as boilers, tart-up ejectors and compressors.

Silencer Operation
Our silencers are made of three main compartments:
- diffuser
- expansion chamber
- acoustic absorption layers
As the fluid stream (gas or steam) enters the silencer, the inlet diffuser with an array of small diameter holes acts as a reflective barrier to the noise energy carried within the stream from the safety relief valves. A controlled combination of diffuser-hole size and spacing are used to maximize the effectiveness of the barrier. Our silencers use deadening pack to further break down the jets into smaller sizes thereby increasing the noise frequency and eliminating any potential for shock wave formation from the pressure reduction at the inlet diffuser. The result is a net decrease in system vent noise!
Next, the silencer expansion chamber serves as a reactive volume within the flow
inline Silencer design
specialised silencer for noise control in closed systems, based on a suitably modified type D diffuser silencer
The fluid is expanded through a multitude of small diffuser bores into a finely woven stainless steel wire mesh.
