Liquid Jet Scrubber

Jet scrubbers work on the ejector principle and are used to remove gases and particulates via absorption in or chemical reaction with the motive fluid. Scrubber units are equipped with a separator (gravitational or centrifugal), a storage tank and a circulation pump.

Some of the species easily handled by liquid jet gas scrubbers are SO2, SO3, Cl2, SiF4, HCl, NH3, HF, H2S, HNO3, H2SO4, COCl2, HCN, SOCl2, HBr, Br2, F2, formaldehyde, reduced sulfur compounds, particulates, etc.
